Young ecology adventurers

Opening up the natural heritage of Leicester's waterways

Leicester Young Ecology Adventurers is a two-year programme funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and managed by the Somali Community Parents Association.   It provides opportunities for young people to  learn about the natural environment and  to build their skills and confidence.  Working with professional instructors, volunteers, academic researchers and brilliant partners on the  waterways, the programme is opening up new horizons for young people.

This year is the second year of our programme and we are delighted to be nominated as a finalist for the 2018 Living Waterways Award!
